POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a college student looking to turn your classroom knowledge into real-world experience? At Perigon, our paid Summer Internship Program gives you a front-row seat to wealth management, investing, financial planning, and client service. You won’t be sitting on the sidelines—you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain a firsthand look at how an independent wealth management firm delivers exceptional outcomes for its clients.

At Perigon, we believe the best way to learn is by getting involved. Our internship is built around hands-on experiences, cross-functional exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to engage with professionals across the firm. You’ll build practical skills, expand your network, and leave the summer with a deeper understanding of financial services—and a clearer picture of where your career could take you.


COMPANY OVERVIEW

Perigon Wealth Management is an independent RIA founded and led by lifelong advisors. With approximately $12.1 billion in AUM, we serve clients nationwide by combining the depth of a larger firm with the feel of a boutique, while supporting advisors who want to grow without giving up independence.


PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Duration: 10-12 weeks starting June 1st, 2026

Compensation: Paid

Location: Hybrid

Schedule: 15 – 20 hours a week


EXPERIENCE

  • Comprehensive Onboarding:

Start the summer with a deep dive into Perigon’s mission, values, business, and commitment to serving clients. You’ll learn how the pieces of a wealth management firm fit together and how each team contributes to the client’s experience.

  • Department Rotations:

Go beyond the textbook and explore the teams that make a wealth management firm successful. Gain exposure to: Financial Planning, Investment Research, Client Services, Operations, Compliance, People & Culture, and Marketing & Business Development

  • Capstone Project:

Put your skills into action by completing a meaningful capstone project over the final 8 weeks. You’ll research a business opportunity or challenge, develop thoughtful recommendations, and present your findings to firm leadership—giving you experience that mirrors the work of professionals in the industry.

  • Mentorship & Networking:

Build relationships with mentors and professionals across Perigon. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions, learn from different career paths, and connect with team members at all levels of the organization.

You should be excited to learn how a business works from the inside out and comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone.

Currently enrolled in a college or university (Finance, Business, Economics, or related majors preferred)

Must be a junior, senior, or postgraduate

GPA Requirement: 3.0

Genuine interest in wealth management, financial planning, investing, and client experience

A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude—willing to jump in, take initiative, and help wherever needed

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an interest in client engagement and collaborating with others

Team-oriented approach—you collaborate generously and are willing to roll up your sleeves to support the broader team

Professionalism and adaptability - bring energy, maturity, and a positive attitude to a changing environment

Ownership and follow-through - you can take a project from an assignment through completion

Curiosity and coachability, you ask thoughtful questions, seek feedback, and are eager to learn
