Supervisor, Global KYC Program Office – Quezon City, Philippines


Western Union is seeking a detail-oriented, execution-focused Supervisor to join our Global Know Your Customer (GKYC) team in Quezon City, Philippines. In this role, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Global KYC within Global KYC Program Office, you will conduct First Line of Defense oversight of KYC cases. Leveraging your deep expertise in financial crime and compliance investigations, you will guide a team of KYC QA analysts, lead process improvements, and help maintain global policies. In this role you will help solve complex problems related to the application and enforcement of KYC requirements around the globe.


In this role you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams in Compliance and Operations to support compliance and business needs, support regulatory obligations and formulate requirements and ensure consistent execution of the Global KYC Program across regions.


Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7-10 KYC QA Analysts, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities supporting the KYC program, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor quality trends, identify systemic issues, and recommend improvements to strengthen controls, processes, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Review and challenge QA findings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and effective application of quality standards.
  • Lead calibration sessions and support dispute resolution activities to promote consistent decision-making.
  • Partner with Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns and identify training opportunities.
  • Utilize reporting and quality metrics to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support audits, remediation initiatives, and other projects impacting the KYC program.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in financial services, compliance, risk management, or quality assurance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in AML Compliance, KYC, ECDD, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, or related compliance functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing analysts or teams.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience assessing adherence to policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience delivering feedback and presenting findings.
  • Experience utilizing quality metrics, reporting, and data analysis to support oversight and continuous improvement activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Shift

HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office for a minimum of three days.
