Position Overview: The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures that all components, materials, and assemblies sourced from suppliers meet Inseego’s, and the customer’s, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications. This role also evaluates and validates the contract manufacturer’s quality management system, production processes, and overall production quality. The Supplier Quality Engineer is a cross‑functional position supporting operations and engineering, focused on safeguarding the quality and reliability of Inseego products. This position works closely with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain high manufacturing standards. This is a remote position, based out of Taiwan. Responsibilities: Assess and qualify suppliers based on technical capability, quality systems, and production capacity. Conduct detailed capability evaluations and risk analyses for both new and existing suppliers. Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) through regular audits, KPI monitoring, supplier QBRs, and qualification/disqualification recommendations. Provide ongoing reporting and visibility into the vendor mix used in production. Collect, maintain, and analyze supplier quality data (IQC, QC, OQC, FPY, FYR, FAI, RCCA) to identify improvement opportunities and required corrective actions. Regularly visit key component suppliers to validate quality data and processes in person. Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure their IQC, QC, OQC, FPY, and FYR results align with supplier‑reported quality data. Partner with CMs to identify and implement process improvements that drive continuous improvement and elevate quality KPIs above Inseego targets. Travel regularly between CMs and key suppliers to provide on‑site support to resolve quality issues based on priorities, KPIs, quality data, and production demand. Spend the majority of time embedded within CMs and key component suppliers to ensure real‑time quality oversight. Collaborate with Quality, RL, and Repair teams to align supplier and CM KPIs with expected field performance. Ensure adequate incoming inspection processes are in place at CM/ODM sites to verify material compliance. Work with CM/ODM teams to ensure their quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians are performing duties as required. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to support production and process improvements. Analyze factory and field failure data, recommend corrective actions, and support or lead initiatives to improve product quality. Conduct failure analysis and corrective actions with suppliers using industry‑standard methodologies such as FMEA and 8D. Required Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, preferably within the telecom or consumer electronics industry. Proven ability to work effectively with ODMs and CMs across design, supplier management, and manufacturing quality. Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and management capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment. Track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving quality targets by working cross‑functionally with Engineering, ODM/CM partners, and Operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management, suppliers, and customers. Agile self‑starter capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Ability to travel regularly (up to 75%) throughout Asia, both locally and internationally, with additional travel to the U.S. 2–3+ times per year. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or relevant commensurate experience. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), and/or ISO Auditor certifications are strongly preferred. Location: Remote, Taiwan
