Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a fast-growing DTC footwear brand focused on minimalist and barefoot shoes, is searching for an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a full-time remote role. In this role, you will take full ownership of inventory and logistics operations, ensuring smooth operational flow across purchasing, freight, inventory management, and 3PL coordination. Your expertise and operational mindset will contribute directly to the company's growth, scalability, and efficiency. About the company: The company is a US-focused direct-to-consumer footwear brand specializing in minimalist and barefoot shoes. The business sells exclusively through its own online channels and fulfills orders via a 3PL partner. Production is managed through three manufacturing partners in China. The founder oversees factory relationships, pricing negotiations, and product development, while the Supply Chain Manager owns the execution and operational side of the supply chain process. Key Responsibilities: Supply Planning & Inventory Management: Issue and manage all purchase orders based on founder-approved deals and internal sales projections Maintain inventory health across approximately 500 SKUs, with a strong focus on core bestselling products Build and maintain reorder models and inventory forecasting systems Monitor stock levels and proactively prevent stockouts or excess inventory situations Track all open purchase orders from placement to warehouse receipt Shipping & Freight Management: Source freight quotations and coordinate shipments from China to the US Manage relationships with freight forwarders and oversee shipment execution Monitor inbound logistics timelines to ensure smooth and timely delivery Coordinate inbound receiving processes with the 3PL partner 3PL & Operational Management: Own the relationship with the company's 3PL partner Manage inbound coordination, warehouse receiving, and fulfillment flow Ensure operational efficiency across warehousing and inventory processes Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements Process Optimization & Automation: Build and maintain SOPs for supply chain and inventory operations Continuously identify manual workflows that can be automated or simplified Leverage AI tools and modern operational software to improve efficiency and reduce friction Create dashboards and reporting systems to improve operational visibility and decision-making Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory operations Experience in a DTC or e-commerce company preferred Experience managing purchase orders with China-based manufacturers Familiarity with China-US freight operations and freight forwarder management Strong ownership mentality and ability to independently manage processes remotely Hands-on experience using AI tools to automate or streamline operational workflows Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Proficient in spreadsheets and inventory management tools ERP/WMS experience would be an advantage Strong written and verbal English communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision What Makes an Ideal Candidate: Obsessed with inventory flow, operational efficiency, and process simplicity Thinks in systems and proactively improves workflows Naturally automates repetitive tasks and simplifies fragile processes Highly proactive, reliable, and self-driven Comfortable operating in a fast-paced remote environment without hand-holding What's Not in Scope: Factory relationship management Product sourcing and price negotiations Product development decisions Our benefits: Work for a fast-growing, market-proven DTC brand Competitive salary Fully remote work environment Flexible working hours High level of ownership and autonomy Opportunity to directly impact operational growth and scalability Supportive and performance-driven team culture
