Supply Chain Planning Supervisor

For an international organisation based in the area of Rotterdam, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee the planning function while remaining actively involved in the operation. You will help ensure that planning activities run smoothly, priorities are clear and supply chain performance continues to improve.

Your role:

As Supply Chain Planning Supervisor, you will combine people leadership with operational responsibility for the planning function.

• Guide, coach and develop the planning team;

• Set priorities and ensure an effective division of responsibilities;

• Support planners with complex issues and help them make well-informed decisions;

• Oversee planning activities and ensure these are aligned with business requirements;

• Monitor inventory, availability and overall planning performance;

• Identify potential supply chain risks and coordinate solutions with relevant stakeholders;

• Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance and other departments;

• Analyse planning and supply chain data and translate insights into improvements;

• Identify and implement improvements to planning processes and ways of working;

• Support the introduction of new processes, systems and initiatives;

• Take ownership of planning-related improvement projects;

• Contribute to the further development and professionalisation of the Supply Chain function.

This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who enjoys staying close to the operation while also taking responsibility for people, performance and continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or similar;

• A minimum of 5 years working experience in Planning, Supply Chain of which 2 years in a supervisory position;

• Fluent English and at least one other European language, with Dutch being highly advantageous;

• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as planning, inventory management and logistics;

• Experience working within international organisations with export/import, trading and/or production activities;

• Strong knowledge of ERP and advanced planning systems;

• A proven track record in process improvement within an international environment.
