Job Summary Ensure uninterrupted material supply through proactive planning, risk anticipation, and rapid shortage resolution. Independently manage complex material flows, support sourcing and technical functions, and drive cost and inventory optimization. Lead cross-functional initiatives across Commercial, IC&D, and Operations to strengthen supply chain performance and resilience. Supply Chain Specialist (f/m/d) Location: 6th of October City, Cairo, Egypt Position Summary Ensure uninterrupted material supply through proactive planning, anticipation of risks, and rapid resolution of shortages. The role independently manages complex material flows, supports sourcing and technical functions, and drives cost and inventory optimization. It also leads cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, IC&D, and Operations to strengthen supply chain performance and resilience. What You Will Make a Difference On Material Availability & Risk Management Ensure continuous material availability by monitoring multiple data sources and identifying supply risks early Implement preventive actions to avoid disruptions and maintain operational efficiency Develop and maintain contingency plans for critical raw materials Shortage Recovery & Operational Support Lead resolution of raw material shortages in coordination with planners, procurement, and suppliers Support production planning and scheduling teams during constraints to ensure continuity Demand & Supply Planning Develop and maintain supply plans aligned with demand forecasts Balance supply and demand to ensure service level excellence while controlling inventory Drive forecast accuracy through cross-functional alignment Inventory Optimization Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock coverage across the region Manage SLOB (Slow-Moving & Obsolete) materials and identify mitigation actions to minimize write-offs Define and maintain safety stock policies based on variability and lead times Align supply plans with inventory optimization objectives Supply & Capacity Optimization Coordinate with affiliates and planning teams to ensure sustainable supply and capacity utilization Identify constraints and implement mitigation plans Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, and Operations Support S&OP / IBP processes Align stakeholders on priorities, risks, and opportunities Process & Performance Improvement Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance and processes Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance planning efficiency Support digitalization and system optimization projects Why You Are the Right Fit Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field 6–8 years of experience in supply chain planning or demand planning Strong command of English Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience How You Stand Out Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid expertise in inventory management and SLOB control Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Proactive, structured, and results-driven mindset Strong collaboration and communication skills Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail Why Join IFF in Cairo?
