Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a remote Supply Chain Specialist - Cost Out, Risk & Resiliency in the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for executing critical initiatives that improve supply chain resilience, mitigate risk, and deliver cost savings across IBP sites. This role leads cross-functional efforts to ensure business continuity, supplier stability, and cost competitiveness while driving timely execution of mitigation and cost-out strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk & Resiliency Execution

  • Identify supplier risks impacting continuity, quality, and delivery
  • Develop and execute mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, alternate suppliers, safety stock)
  • Lead risk escalation and ensure timely issue resolution across sites
  • Maintain visibility of risk status, mitigation actions, and recovery plans

Cost Out / Productivity

  • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities across suppliers and materials
  • Lead supplier negotiations with GPO, benchmarking, and RFQs to drive savings
  • Support should-cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives
  • Track and deliver cost-out commitments aligned to business targets

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead cross-site alignment on risk mitigation and cost-out priorities
  • Facilitate sourcing reviews, risk calls, and recovery actions
  • Drive accountability for action items, timelines, and deliverables
  • Partner with Category Management, Planning, Operations, and Engineering
  • Support any plant or divisional events related to Cost-out or Resiliency

Key Outcomes / KPIs

  • Reduction in supply disruption incidents
  • Improved supplier resiliency (dual sourcing, recovery readiness)
  • Delivery of cost-out targets
  • On-time closure of critical risk mitigation actions

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supply chain experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing business systems, databases, and standard software applications to support operational decision-making and process efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, including leading cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Experience managing supplier risk, cost initiatives, and escalations.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of materials planning, inventory management, supply chain processes, business reporting, and trade compliance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
