About the Opportunity

micro1 is engaging experienced Supply Chain Managers to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on training and improving next-generation AI systems.

In this role, you will apply practical supply chain expertise to realistic workflows involving ERP systems, demand planning, supplier evaluation, inventory analysis, procurement, and supply chain reporting. You will work with real or hypothetical business scenarios and provide structured, high-quality input that helps AI systems better understand and reason through day-to-day supply chain operations.

No prior AI experience is required. Your hands-on supply chain knowledge and practical decision-making experience are the primary focus.

Responsibilities

  • Use ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems at a user level to support supply chain workflows and data-entry activities.
  • Build straightforward demand forecasts and supply plans using real or hypothetical business data.
  • Develop and complete supplier evaluation scorecards covering cost, quality, reliability, delivery, and service performance.
  • Analyze inventory and stock levels to identify discrepancies, potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks.
  • Prepare clear and actionable supply chain reports using intermediate Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic formulas.
  • Apply sourcing and purchasing knowledge to simulate realistic end-to-end procurement scenarios.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and identify areas requiring corrective action or improvement.
  • Document supply chain processes, assumptions, and findings in a clear and structured manner.
  • Communicate supply chain insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate, practical input that reflects real-world supply chain workflows and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems in a supply chain environment.
  • Practical understanding of demand forecasting, demand planning, or supply planning.
  • Experience analyzing inventory and stock levels.
  • Ability to develop or evaluate supplier performance scorecards.
  • Working knowledge of intermediate Excel functions used for supply chain reporting and analysis.
  • Understanding of sourcing, purchasing, procurement, and supplier-management processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain supply chain concepts and analysis clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems in a supply chain context.
  • Strong experience in demand planning or supply planning.
  • Direct responsibility for supplier performance monitoring and supplier evaluation.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships through structured performance processes.
  • Experience collaborating with Purchasing Agents or working in roles that combine sourcing and procurement responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel-based supply chain analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working independently in remote environments while managing multiple project deliverables.
  • Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear documentation and practical recommendations.
