🇨🇳China🏢Hybrid📁Engineering & Development
Is this job info correct?

You will provide hands-on technical support to automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and autonomous-driving technology companies using TomTom ADAS maps, services, and SDKs. You will help customers integrate products efficiently, reproduce and resolve issues, validate releases, and build the knowledge and tools required for reliable production support. What you'll do Provide responsive L2/L3 technical support for ADAS map data, SDKs, APIs, developer tools, and customer integration environments through remote and on-site engagement. Support customer onboarding, environment setup, SDK configuration, credentials, map access, sample applications, and first successful data retrieval or horizon generation. Reproduce, triage, and resolve issues involving SDK behavior, map content, positioning, map matching, route projection, ADASIS output, service connectivity, performance, and platform compatibility. Collect high-quality diagnostic evidence, including logs, traces, configuration, software versions, map tiles, vehicle routes, timestamps, and reproducible test steps. Differentiate product defects, map-data issues, integration errors, environmental constraints, and unsupported use cases, then route each issue to the correct engineering owner. Work with global map, SDK, platform, and operations teams to track escalations, communicate impact, validate fixes, and keep customers informed with clear technical updates. Execute release qualification and regression testing on representative Android, Linux, or QNX environments and document results against agreed acceptance criteria. Inspect and visualize road- and lane-level map attributes, compare SDK output with expected data, and support field or simulation-based validation activities. Create and maintain bilingual troubleshooting guides, known-issue records, FAQs, test procedures, support runbooks, and integration examples. Identify recurring support themes and recommend improvements to product usability, diagnostics, documentation, tooling, and customer onboarding. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Geomatics, Electronics, or a related discipline. Typically 3 + years of technical support, software integration, validation, or application-engineering experience in automotive, mapping, navigation, ADAS, or autonomous driving. Working knowledge of ADAS map content, including road topology, lane geometry and connectivity, speed restrictions, curvature, gradient, traffic signs, and dynamic road conditions. \ Experience supporting SDKs, APIs, embedded software, or map-data pipelines, with the ability to read technical documentation and understand interface contracts. Proficiency with Linux command-line tools, logs, shell scripting, networking fundamentals, and structured troubleshooting; exposure to QNX or Android Automotive is strongly valued. Programming or scripting capability in C++, Java/Kotlin, and/or Python sufficient to understand sample code, build small test tools, and automate diagnostics. Familiarity with REST, MQTT, Kafka, Protobuf , JSON, or comparable service and data-delivery technologies. Experience with issue-management and engineering collaboration tools, plus disciplined incident documentation and follow-through. Strong analytical skills, customer empathy, ownership, and the ability to remain effective during critical integration or launch situations. Fluent Chinese and professional English; willing to travel to customer sites for workshops, vehicle tests, and production-critical support. What's nice to have Experience at a digital map, navigation, ADAS, autonomous-driving algorithm, intelligent-vehicle, or automotive software company. Knowledge of NDS, NDS.Live , ADASIS v2/v3, OGP, PBF, OpenLR , GIS, map visualization, or equivalent proprietary technologies. Experience supporting OEM or Tier-1 programs on automotive SoCs and embedded platforms. Hands-on exposure to vehicle logs, GNSS/positioning data, CAN or Ethernet traces, simulation, test drives, or map-quality validation. Understanding of software release processes, CI/CD, automated testing, defect triage, and root-cause analysis. What we offer A competitive compensation package, of course. Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning. Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities. Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize.
