About the role I Mo te tunga What does a Support Worker do? With Phoenix Healthcare, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of essential tasks from: • Household Management (cleaning and meal preparation) • Community Integrations • Giving medications • Personal Care Assistance (showering, dressing, toileting and bowel and bladder care) We would love you to join us at Phoenix Healthcare Group – wherein we are not just redefining healthcare support! We are looking for support workers available on weekends and are available to start immediately. Whether you come with a wealth of experience as a Support Worker seeking a new direction or are exploring a career where your genuine enthusiasm and compassion for assisting others can have a meaningful impact on people's lives, we welcome you. To thrive in Support Working role, you will be: • Be able to start immediately (must be living within Timaru, Temuka, or Ashburton). • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent from another country, is beneficial but not essential. We also welcome applicants who may not hold formal qualifications but have relevant previous experience. • Ability to pass a police vet. • A full NZ Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle • Having a current First Aid Certificate is a bonus, and if you don’t have one, we can help you obtain it. • Flexibility opens doors to more shifts! We have a variety of shifts (including covers, sleepovers, wake overs and weekend shifts) Please note that the 90-day trial period will apply to any successful applicant who has not previously worked for Phoenix Healthcare Group.
