INTRODUCTION
As one of the leading confectionery producers worldwide, every day is a sweet day at Perfetti Van Melle. Come join us in confecting a sweeter future. We are focused on growing our business by building on and developing our talent, to be serious about sweets and to continuously refresh our way of working.
Are you an experienced sustainability reporting professional who enjoys navigating complex international stakeholder environments and translating evolving ESG regulations into robust reporting practices? Join the Group Reporting team and play a key role in strengthening sustainability reporting across a global organization. The position we are hiring for is located in Breda, the Netherlands.
This is a unique opportunity to join Perfetti Van Melle at a pivotal stage in its sustainability reporting journey. With upcoming reporting requirements from 2028 onwards, the foundations are largely in place: the reporting framework has been established, key ESG metrics have been defined, and a global reporting tool is currently being implemented. The next phase is focused on execution. This means coordinating data collection across regions and functions worldwide, ensuring data quality and consistency, guiding stakeholders through new reporting obligations and building an effective reporting cadence. As Sustainability Reporting Lead, you will play a central role in turning a well-designed framework into a sustainable, reliable and globally embedded reporting process.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate global ESG and sustainability data collection across regions and functions.
- Support the implementation and adoption of sustainability reporting tools and processes.
- Ensure stakeholders provide accurate and timely sustainability reporting inputs.
- Collaborate with external auditors and consultants on ESG reporting requirements and assurance activities.
- Translate emerging sustainability regulations into practical reporting requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate ESG reports and KPI reporting activities.
- Build strong relationships with finance, sustainability and functional leaders across the global matrix organization.
- Monitor reporting compliance, data quality and process effectiveness.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
You thrive in an environment where success depends on collaboration rather than hierarchy. In this role, you will work with colleagues across functions, regions and cultures, which requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization. You know how to engage people, create alignment and guide stakeholders through change, even when reporting requirements are new or unfamiliar.
You are naturally structured and organized, with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams, priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Maintaining data quality, ensuring timely delivery and keeping stakeholders engaged throughout the reporting cycle comes naturally to you.
You are also a strong communicator who can translate complex sustainability regulations and reporting requirements into practical actions for the business. Combined with a proactive mindset, you identify risks early, anticipate potential challenges and take ownership in driving solutions before issues arise. Most importantly, you enjoy working in an international and multidisciplinary environment where teamwork is essential to achieving shared objectives.
- A master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability or related field.
- 5+ year's experience in sustainability reporting within a global corporate matrix organization.
- Experience establishing, implementing or improving reporting processes.
WE OFFER
- Excellent remuneration package
- Bonus opportunity
- Personal development opportunities
- Work at a dynamic international company with leading global brands
- A family-oriented culture where we care about our people
- Hybrid working: partly in the office and from home
