Sustainability Solutions Consultant

Posted Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 4:00 AM We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate individual to join our Corporate Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) services team. The primary function of this role is to take end to end ownership of Industry Specific Corporate Sustainability solutions. The role will entail researching corporate sustainability requirements for specific industries, and packaging solution offerings including design, configuration, project deployment and market ready materials. The solution consultant will need to collaborate closely with cross functional teams, and present the packages to various internal and external stakeholders, as well as support project delivery. The individual is able to leverage subject matter knowledge to guide stakeholders to the best possible solutions. You will need to be confident and assertive; Used to making decisions in a fast paced environment, and an excellent communicator. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Research and define the needs for industry specific preconfigured corporate sustainability solutions Lead requirements and design workshops with stakeholders to discuss industry requirements and how these are best mapped to the software solution, while setting appropriate stakeholder expectations Delivering solutions and services related to corporate sustainability (GRI Standards, CDP, ISO 14001, Carbon Footprint, Energy Efficiency, Water Footprint etc) Produce solution design and corresponding documentation Produce documentation to support sales and go to market activities Collaborate in project teams with other professional staff and contribute to successful project delivery Quality assurance and review of documentation and configuration Lead customer solution demonstrations Support issue management and resolution Deliver training courses Define and own deployment approach for Project Manager in planning, scoping, estimating and expectation setting and ongoing coordination and communication both internally and externally Review prospective client requirements for formal estimation and solution proposals Manage project stakeholder expectations Knowledge and experience in the following areas is required: Required: Enthusiasm for supporting global companies with integrated sustainability consulting and software solutions 2 years + consulting experience in a client-facing, consulting and/or software delivery environment. Working knowledge on GHG accounting, GHG protocol and scope 3 methodologies Working knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (e.g. GRI, DJSI, SASB) Experience in identifying assumptions, constraints, dependencies and risks Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both German and English language, along with strong presentation skills Ability to work with remote teams Willingness to travel to client sites, including international travel Willing to be flexible in working arrangements around projects Prior experience with configuring software to meet client requirements Understanding and mapping requirements for reports and solution outputs Prior experience working in an environment where time management and tracking was required. Solid experience in delivering multiple projects across many vertical industries Preferred: Sustainability experience in Financial Services sector In-depth understanding of raw data requirements, collection, validation, ownership, metrics, interdependencies for environmental and social KPIs across various industry sectors Detailed knowledge on GHG Protocol, emission factor sources and applicability to emissions calculations Education: Completed post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience #spheraservices
