Salary range: An annual salary range of $225,000 - $250,000 is what we expect to pay for this position, based on overall skills and experience.

What You’ll Do:
Customers Bank is seeking an experienced banking professional to join its Technology Banking team as a Managing Director. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Technology Banking, the Managing Director will support the growth and development of the Bank’s technology banking franchise through relationship management, business development, credit execution, and portfolio management.
The Director will work directly with technology companies, founders, CFOs, venture capital investors, and other members of the technology ecosystem. The role will have responsibility for developing new relationships and expanding existing relationships while partnering closely with senior members of the Technology Banking team and internal product and credit partners.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated banker to play a meaningful role in building a growing technology banking platform.
Client Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology companies, founders, CFOs, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to introduce Customers Bank to prospective technology clients.
- Assist in developing and executing relationship strategies for existing and prospective clients.
- Understand clients’ business models, capital structures, financing needs, and overall banking requirements.
- Partner with senior bankers to deepen client relationships and identify opportunities across lending, deposits, treasury management, and other banking products.
Business Development
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective technology banking clients.
- Develop relationships with venture capital firms, private equity firms, investment banks, attorneys, accountants, and other technology ecosystem participants.
- Participate in networking, industry, and investor events to expand the Bank’s presence within the technology community.
- Generate referrals and new business opportunities through personal and professional networks.
Credit & Execution
- Work closely with credit and underwriting teams to analyze and structure financing opportunities.
- Prepare financial analyses, credit materials, and client presentations.
- Assist with loan structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closing processes.
- Monitor portfolio performance and proactively communicate emerging risks or opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of technology-company credit fundamentals and venture-backed business models.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the SVP, Head of Technology Banking and other members of the Technology Banking team to execute the group’s business plan.
- Collaborate with Credit, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, and other internal partners to deliver solutions to clients.
- Take ownership of assigned relationships and opportunities while leveraging senior team members when appropriate.
- Contribute market intelligence and ideas to help strengthen the Bank’s technology banking offering.
What Do You Need?
- 10+ years of commercial, corporate, technology, or related banking experience.
- Experience working with technology companies, venture-backed businesses, or other growth-oriented companies preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client and referral relationships.
- Strong financial analysis and credit skills.
- Understanding of venture capital, technology-company financing, and the broader technology ecosystem.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to contribute to a growing platform.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business, credit, and product teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
