System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator with solid experience in enterprise environments, who will contribute to the reliable and secure operation of our corporate infrastructure. The role involves the administration and evolution of a modern corporate IT environment, built primarily around Microsoft and VMware technologies.

In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for systems administration, resolving complex technical issues and continuously improving the infrastructure, while actively participating in upgrades, migrations and new technology projects.

You will work closely with the CX Systems, Networks, Cybersecurity, Applications and IT Support teams, contributing to the smooth and secure operation of services and maintaining their high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server.
• Administration of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services and its core services.
• Support of Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), with emphasis on the availability of clustered services and the proper operation of failover mechanisms.
• Basic administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server at service, connectivity and infrastructure level.
• Operation of virtual infrastructure based on VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter and support of the VMware Horizon environment.
• Administration of Veeam Backup & Replication, monitoring of backup jobs and repositories, and execution of restore/recovery activities.
• Technical support of Fortinet solutions, such as FortiGate, FortiProxy and FortiClient/FortiVPN.
• Use of PowerShell scripts for administration, automation and bulk operations.
• Application of security updates, operating system patches and approved configuration changes, in accordance with established change procedures.
• Contribution to vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening in collaboration with the Cybersecurity team.
• Participation in upgrades, migrations, deployments and infrastructure projects, from the testing phase through to production implementation.

Candidate Profile

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a System Administrator, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar enterprise infrastructure role. – Required
• A degree or diploma from an IEK, University (AEI) or former Technological Educational Institute (TEI) in Information Technology, Technology, Sciences or a related field. - Required
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and proven experience in production environments. - Required
• Strong background in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and WSUS. - Required
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter and enterprise virtual infrastructure. - Required
• Experience with VMware Horizon, Remote Desktop Services or another Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technology. - Required
• Practical experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, backup jobs, repositories, monitoring and restore operations. - Required
• Good understanding of information security principles, access control, least privilege, change control and ISO/IEC 27001 requirements. – Required
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols – Required
• Good command of English. - Required
• Completed military service obligations, where applicable. - Required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC). - Preferred
• Knowledge of PowerShell and ability to create or adapt scripts. - Preferred
• Familiarity with Fortinet products, such as FortiGate, FortiProxy and FortiClient/FortiVPN/FortiEms. - Preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. - Preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Server, Multi-Factor Authentication or other endpoint and identity security solutions. – Preferred
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and their practical use in IT operations, troubleshooting, scripting, automation and technical documentation. – Preferred

Additional Qualifications That Will Be Considered an Advantage

• Certifications from Microsoft, VMware/Broadcom, Veeam, Fortinet, ISO/IEC 27001 or other recognized organizations.
• Experience with High Availability, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery environments, including failover and recovery testing.
• Experience participating in large-scale infrastructure migrations, platform upgrades, data center changes or technology transformation projects.
