• Develop, test and maintain business-critical applications and services within the pharmaceutical domain.

• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, including analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product representatives and technical team members to translate real user and business needs into robust technical solutions.

• Build and evolve backend services primarily using Java and modern Java frameworks such as Quarkus or Java EE.

• Develop and maintain data-access layers using Hibernate, JPA or comparable ORM technologies.

• Work with container-based platforms and delivery environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar technologies.

• Ensure high standards of quality, maintainability, usability, availability, traceability and information security.

• Take an active role in agile delivery, collaborating with the team through Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or a comparable methodology.

• Support continuous improvement of development practices, testing approaches and technical solutions.

• Participate in travel to other Swedish eHealth Agency offices when required. Travel will be arranged and covered by the Agency.

• Academic education in IT, computer science or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a system developer, with Java as your primary programming language during the last 7 years.

• At least 3 years of recent experience - within the last 5 years - working with Quarkus, Java EE or another comparable Java framework.

• At least 3 years of recent experience - within the last 5 years - using Hibernate, JPA or a similar ORM framework.

• At least 3 years of recent experience - within the last 5 years - working with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• At least 2 years of recent experience - within the last 5 years - working in agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or a similar framework.

• Advanced seniority and independence, corresponding to Competence Level 3: substantial experience in major assignments, the ability to deliver work to a very high standard, and confidence in taking responsibility and guiding larger groups where needed.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical choices clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A structured, analytical approach to understanding business needs, identifying risks and challenges, and proposing suitable solutions.
