As we expand our customer SaaS deployments, we are currently seeking experienced site reliability engineers (SREs) bringing fresh ideas, demonstrating a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoying collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop reliable real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction. Job Summary Avaloq is seeking a Senior Kubernetes & Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of our cloud-native platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Kubernetes, Linux, Cloud Infrastructure, and Terraform, with a passion for automation, scalability, security, and reliability. You will work closely with platform, security, and application teams to build and maintain resilient infrastructure in a mission-critical financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes platforms across cloud and hybrid environments. Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle activities including provisioning, upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Implement best practices for Kubernetes networking, security, storage, and high availability. Build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and automated provisioning frameworks. Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, focusing on performance, security, patching, and system reliability. Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment automation and operational efficiency. Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience. Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, including cluster operations, networking, ingress, storage, RBAC, and high-availability deployments. Experience with AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and infrastructure best practices. Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or similar platforms. Good understanding of DevOps and SRE practices, including reliability, monitoring, and incident response. Preferred Qualifications Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS). Cloud certifications in AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP. Experience with HashiCorp Vault or other secrets management solutions. Experience working in banking, fintech, or other regulated environments.
