POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems and reporting solutions to address business needs. This role involves working closely with both IT and business stakeholders to develop systems that are efficient, scalable, and aligned with AffinityPlus’ strategic goals.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs, configures, administers, and supports internal computer systems.
- Takes lead in supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, intranet, and telephony systems.
- Administers servers, routers, switches, software deployment, security updates and patches, and other devices.
- Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity and security.
- Generates and analyzes system reports to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Researches and provides data to inform recommendations on products and practices.
- Provides technical support for the AffinityPlus core banking platform.
- Upgrades the network infrastructure.
- Monitors the performance of servers and other network hardware and software.
- Supports the maintenance of system performance, security, upkeep, availability, stability, and reliability within acceptable standards.
- Troubleshoots network and systems issues.
- Provides hardware and software support to users.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots technical problems.
- Supports the cost-effective deployment of ICT resources to facilitate and enhance the achievement of AffinityPlus’ strategic objectives.
- Implements and monitors the Information Systems department’s operational procedures, task scheduling, progress on key performance indicators and work plans.
- Provides technical guidance and counsel regarding the acquisition, maintenance, and use of hardware and software systems, technical and data assets.
- Develops, maintains, and executes procedures for emergency recovery of systems and data.
- Maintains the corporate website.
- Reviews operational procedures for technological inefficiencies.
- Be the team lead for the Help Desk function, acting as the primary point of contact for persons seeking assistance with technical issues and other service issues
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s Degree or professional certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or other appropriate certifications, plus a minimum of three (3) years’ practical related experience in a similar role with a proven track record of high-performance. OR,
- An Associate Degree or professional certification in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or related field, plus a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in a similar role with a proven track record of high-performance.
- Intermediate level of knowledge of computer systems in an enterprise environment, LAN/WAN networks, and system security techniques.
- Working knowledge of the application of financial technology for general banking and/or credit union operations is preferred.
