The Opportunity

The Systems Analyst participates in the technical planning, engineering, implementation, integration, and ongoing support of enterprise-level software solutions and services.

You will evaluate current systems and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions that contribute to an efficient, secure, and well-integrated technology environment. This role works with technical challenges of varying scope and complexity and partners with teams across ITS to support both current operations and Moody’s continued transition to cloud-based solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Gather, analyze, and document technical requirements and standards used in the selection, integration, implementation, and support of enterprise systems.
• Coordinate feasibility studies for technology solutions under consideration and present findings and recommendations.
• Provide strategic technical recommendations and outside perspectives to ITS leadership to support the continuous improvement of Moody’s enterprise technology environment.
• Oversee and maintain integrations across multiple on-premises and cloud-based enterprise systems.
• Partner with internal ITS teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting enterprise systems.
• Provide ongoing administration, support, and maintenance for existing on-premises enterprise systems.
• Assist with the evaluation, planning, and migration of on-premises enterprise systems to cloud-based services.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, integration, reliability, and the overall user experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• A passion for using technology to improve systems, processes, and user experiences.
• Bachelor’s degree. Additional job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• More than three years of progressive information technology experience directly related to systems architecture, systems administration, development, information security, or another specialized technology field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork, communication, facilitation, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred

• Web development or shell scripting on Linux or Windows platforms.
• Installing, administering, or maintaining enterprise systems, including databases, application servers, and web servers.
• Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Data analysis, data integration, or data warehousing.
• Enterprise system integrations and cloud migration initiatives.

Work Environment

• This position operates primarily in a professional office and technology environment and routinely uses computers, phones, and other standard office equipment.
• This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement that includes Moody’s Chicago campus.
