Systems & Cloud Engineer I

Reports To: Technology Engineering Manager

Your Role: The Systems & Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, security, and ongoing improvement of Prestige Financial Services’ systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments. This role supports the reliability, performance, security, and availability of technology systems across the organization and works closely with Technology and business teams to identify needs, resolve issues, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, and standards related to system administration, infrastructure, cloud services, and appropriate use of technology.
• Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, storage allocations per privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Manage and maintain identity and access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, security groups, single sign-on, and related security controls.
• Architect, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and purchases.
• Design, configure, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure and other applicable cloud environments.
• Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, server, network, and cloud issues.
• Administer and support Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and other enterprise systems and services.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Monitor system, network, server, and cloud performance and availability. Identify trends, capacity concerns, and potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Design, implement, and maintain solutions that support system availability, scalability, performance, security, and business continuity.
• Manage and maintain cloud resources, configurations, permissions, monitoring, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and other automation solutions to improve system administration, monitoring, provisioning, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Support virtualization environments and associated infrastructure, including VMware and related technologies.
• Manage system and cloud configurations, including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, VMware, networking, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP, and other infrastructure technologies as applicable.
• Assist with disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and system recovery processes. Participate in testing and improvement of recovery procedures.
• Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations regarding infrastructure, cloud services, security, and system improvements.
• Work with Technology team members and vendors to plan and implement infrastructure projects, system integrations, migrations, and other technology initiatives.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and technical records.
• Work Technology infrastructure, services, and software tickets.
• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
• Support security initiatives and assist with identifying, mitigating, and monitoring technology risks and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain compliance with applicable company policies, security standards, privacy requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage KPIs and performance reports as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with teams across the organization to understand business needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the company.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The following certifications are preferred: Any AWS or Azure certs, CCNA, Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Engineer Associate, VMWare Certified Professional, Okta Certified Professional, ITIL Foundations, and any CompTIA certs.
• Advanced technical knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, desktop and server operating systems, patch management, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, VoIP, VMware, Cisco networking, call management systems, firewalls, load balancers, cloud systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with identity and access management, security controls, system monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, networking, virtualization, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills.

Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer III

• Serves as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert for systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
• Leads the design and architecture of complex systems, infrastructure, and cloud solutions.
• Leads complex technology projects, migrations, integrations, and infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Establishes and improves technical standards, architecture guidelines, security practices, and infrastructure processes.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance for complex or enterprise-wide issues.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and makes recommendations regarding long-term infrastructure and cloud strategy.
• Mentors and provides technical guidance to other engineers and Technology team members.
• Takes significant ownership of system reliability, scalability, security, performance, and business continuity.
• Typically requires extensive experience and demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, and related technologies.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain stationary for continuous periods of time. Constantly operate a computer and phone. Frequently communicates with customers, coworkers, and managers about accounts. Able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Work performed in an office setting. Able to bend, reach, lift, sit and walk. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
