Role Summary

NTT DATA Services is seeking a skilled Microsoft Full Stack Developer to design, build, deploy, and support secure, scalable web applications across the Microsoft and Azure ecosystem. This role will contribute across the full software delivery lifecycle—from translating product requirements into technical solutions through development, automated testing, cloud deployment, production monitoring, and continuous improvement.

You will develop modern backend services using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and SQL-based data platforms, alongside responsive frontend experiences using [Angular / React / Blazor / preferred framework]. The role also offers the opportunity to integrate practical AI-enabled capabilities, such as Azure OpenAI Service or Azure AI services, into business applications in a secure, responsible, and maintainable manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and [Angular / React / Blazor / preferred framework].
• Build secure, well-documented, and performant RESTful APIs that support web applications, integrations, and internal or external consumers.
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend engineering practices.
• Design and implement cloud-native application components on Microsoft Azure, using services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Azure Service Bus where appropriate.
• Implement data access and persistence layers using SQL Server or Azure SQL Database and Entity Framework Core, with attention to reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Integrate AI-enabled application features using relevant Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI Service, LLM APIs, semantic search, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns under architectural guidance.
• Apply secure coding practices, including secrets management through Azure Key Vault, authentication and authorization controls, input validation, dependency management, and secure API design.
• Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests; identify defects early and improve overall test coverage and software reliability.
• Configure and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows to enable consistent, repeatable, and controlled deployments.
• Monitor application health, reliability, and performance using tools such as Application Insights and Azure Monitor; investigate issues and support production incident resolution.
• Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives within an Agile delivery team.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, architects, and fellow developers to deliver maintainable solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Required Qualifications

a. Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience developing backend applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including API security, versioning, error handling, and documentation.
• Practical frontend development experience with [Angular / React / Blazor / preferred framework], JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server and/or Azure SQL Database, database design, SQL querying, and performance considerations.
• Familiarity with data access technologies such as Entity Framework Core.
• Practical experience deploying or supporting applications on Azure, including relevant services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of asynchronous or event-driven integration patterns; experience with Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technologies is beneficial.
• Practical experience, or a strong working understanding, of integrating AI capabilities into applications through Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI Service, generative AI APIs, LLM APIs, semantic search, or RAG patterns.

b. Engineering Practices

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, clean architecture, separation of concerns, and common design patterns.
• Experience with Git-based source control, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests, including unit tests and integration tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment automation using Azure DevOps or comparable tooling.
• Understanding performance optimization, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability practices.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles, including secure configuration, secrets management, dependency security, and API protection.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, readable, and appropriately documented code.

c. Professional Skills

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a practical approach to balancing quality, delivery timelines, and technical risk.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset and willingness to support applications through development, deployment, and production operations.
• Ability to learn new technologies and apply them thoughtfully to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Developer Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or other relevant Azure credentials.
• Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, or distributed system design.
• Hands-on experience implementing advanced AI/ML or generative AI solutions, including prompt engineering, vector databases, semantic search, RAG evaluation, model safety controls, or responsible AI practices.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies such as Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, or automated environment provisioning.
• Experience in [relevant industry or product domain, if applicable].
• Experience mentoring junior developers, leading technical workstreams, or contributing to solution architecture and technical standards.

6. What Success Looks Like in the First 6–12 Months

• Delivers production-ready full stack features that meet agreed functional, security, performance, and quality requirements.
• Establishes a strong understanding of the application architecture, deployment processes, development standards, and product priorities.
• Contributes reliable .NET APIs, frontend components, database changes, and Azure services that integrate effectively with the wider platform.
• Improves code quality through meaningful code reviews, automated testing, refactoring, documentation, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Supports stable deployments through effective use of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and timely production issue investigation.
• Delivers or contributes to at least one practical AI-enabled feature or integration that is aligned with business needs, technical architecture, security expectations, and responsible AI principles.
