T Hub - SAP Integration Expert

WHAT TASKS AWAIT YOU?

• Design and implement integration solutions for SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC with internal and external systems (cloud and on-premise).
• Define and maintain integration architectures using SAP technologies such as: SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh), SAP Process Orchestration / SAP PI/PO, IDoc, RFC, BAPI, OData, SOAP/REST APIs
• Develop and document integration patterns, guidelines, and reusable components to ensure standardization and scalability.
• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to align integration solutions with overall IT and business strategy.
• Configure, develop, and test integration scenarios end-to-end, including mapping, routing, transformation, and error handling.
• Work with various protocols and formats (e.g. HTTP(S), SFTP, JDBC, SOAP, REST, IDoc, XML, JSON, EDIFACT).
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure high availability and transparency of integrations.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to internal and external developers.
• Provide 3rd-level support for critical integration issues and act as an escalation point for complex incidents.
• Keep documentation up to date (technical designs, configuration guides, operations manuals).
• Consult with business process owners and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust integration designs.
• Support projects as integration lead, ensuring alignment on timelines, scope, and technical feasibility.
• Contribute to or lead the definition of integration governance, standards, and best practices.
• Support vendor management and collaborate with external service providers where required.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems. In this role, you act as a key technical authority for SAP integration topics, working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and external partners to ensure reliable data flows and seamless end-to-end processes.

You will play a pivotal role in our SAP transformation roadmap, helping us to standardize integration patterns, leverage modern integration technologies, and move towards cloud-based and API-driven architectures.

WHAT SKILLS WILL BE APPRECIATED?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP integration, preferably in complex, international environments.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing integrations for SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
• Experience in full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, operate) of integration solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of at least two of the following: SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh), SAP PI/PO or SAP Process Orchestration, SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies and concepts: IDoc, RFC, BAPI, ALE, Proxy, OData, SOAP and RESTful web services, Message mapping (graphical, XSLT, Java/Groovy scripting)
• Authentication and security standards (OAuth2, SAML, SSL/TLS, certificates, SSO)
• Solid understanding of at least one SAP application area (e.g. FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HCM, SuccessFactors, Ariba, CRM) to design business-relevant integrations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and business-oriented way.
• Very good command of English (written and spoken); German or other languages are a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience with: API design and management (security, throttling, versioning), Event-driven architectures and messaging (e.g. JMS, Kafka, SAP Event Mesh)
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
