Description Are you ready to take the next step in your recruiting career and help shape how a fast-growing company builds its team? At Ledgebrook, you'll lead a talented team of recruiters, own our talent acquisition strategy, and play a central role in how we find, engage, and hire the people who will help transform the insurance industry. You bring the leadership and the strategic thinking; we'll provide the resources and support to help you and your team succeed. Ledgebrook is a tech-enabled E&S MGA on a mission to modernize specialty insurance. The industry is burdened with legacy technology and inefficient processes, preventing innovation at scale. We are changing that. Our goal is to become the best-in-class, full-stack insurance company, leveraging AI and data-driven insights to revolutionize underwriting, pricing, and risk selection. To help us get there, we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our growing recruitment function. About the Role This key role will lead Ledgebrook's talent acquisition function, managing a team of three internal recruiters across the US and Poland alongside our external recruitment agency partners. As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own our end-to-end hiring strategy, ensuring it aligns with our vision and growth objectives, while identifying new and creative ways to reach top talent. You will partner closely with the People team and our Experience team, and with hiring managers and leadership, to make sure Ledgebrook remains a compelling, competitive place to build a career. What You'll Do: ● Team Leadership : Lead, coach, and develop a team of three internal recruiters across the US and Poland, providing regular feedback and building a high-performing, motivated team culture. ● Talent Acquisition Strategy: Own the development and execution of Ledgebrook's overall recruitment strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's mission, goals, and growth plans across all the geographies we hire in, while helping us find people who are a mutual fit for our unique Ledgebrook culture. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership across departments and geographies to understand evolving role requirements and deliver top talent for critical positions. ● Agency & Partner Management: Manage our relationships with external recruitment agency partners, balancing workload between the internal team and our partners, and ensuring every partnership delivers strong return on investment. ● New Talent Channels: Continuously identify new and innovative places, communities, and channels to find talent, going beyond traditional sourcing methods to build diverse, high-quality pipelines for current and future hiring needs. ● Partnering with the People Team: Work closely with the People team on compensation, benefits, and the overall employee experience, ensuring Ledgebrook stays attractive, competitive, and relevant to candidates in the market. ● Employer Branding: Kick off and lead employer branding initiatives together with our Experience team, championing Ledgebrook's story and mission to candidates ranging from early careers to experienced senior hires. ● Recruitment Metrics & Reporting: Monitor key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and pipeline conversion, using data to report on performance and continually look for new ways to improve speed and delivery. ● Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment processes and tooling, driving efficiency for both the internal team and our agency partners while improving the overall candidate experience. About you Here at Ledgebrook we’re passionate about creating a team that thrives on continuous learning and shares our excitement about building a company from the ground up. We’re looking for people to join us with: A passion for delivering world-class customer service to our internal and external customers Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire for innovation, rather than following the status quo A hunger for continuous learning and opportunities to grow Agile prioritization skills coupled with a keen sense of urgency - we balance getting it right with getting it done right now A strong drive and desire to win together as a high-performing team A moral compass to "do the right thing, period." We have zero tolerance for toxic behaviors An eagerness to actively participate and connect with the whole team, across remote locations An honest, transparent communication style A proactive, solution-oriented mindset. We don’t look for blame, we look for the solution Requirements Must Haves: ● Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, including 2+ years leading or managing a recruitment team, and hiring across different geographic regions, preferably in a fast-paced or tech-driven industry. ● Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a distributed team, setting clear direction and holding the team to a high standard of delivery. ● Vendor Management: Experience managing external recruitment agency relationships, including negotiating terms and evaluating partner performance and ROI. ● Strategic Mindset: Ability to build and execute a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with business growth, and to identify new sourcing channels ahead of need. ● Data-Driven: Strong grasp of recruitment metrics and analytics, with experience building reporting and dashboards to track and improve team performance. ● Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. ● Process-Oriented: Proven ability to oversee multiple searches and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. Nice to Haves: ● S tartup Experience: Experience working in a high-growth startup environment, navigating evolving recruitment needs as the business scales. ● Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the insurance or InsurTech industry is a plus, but not a requirement. ● International Recruitment: Experience recruiting or managing teams across multiple countries, including familiarity with hiring practices in Poland. ● Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, AI tools, and data-driven hiring practices. ● Diversity Focus: Experience promoting and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives within the hiring process. Benefits Full remote flexibility and asynchronous work culture. Unlimited PTO and fully paid sick leave. Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus HSA and FSA options. Additional financial protection and retirement benefits, including a 401(k), company-paid life insurance, and disability coverage. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in Ledgebrook’s equity incentive program. At Ledgebrook, we're building something truly special. If you're excited about the opportunity to lead a team, be a key player in building out our organization, thrive in a high-growth environment, and are passionate about helping to shape the future of insurance, we'd love to hear from you. Join us in our mission to bring Specialty insurance into the modern era and be part of a team where Care, Strive, and Thrive Together are more than just words—they're how we work.
