About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports VeraSafe’s hiring efforts across the candidate lifecycle, from application review through the final hiring decision. This role is responsible for identifying qualified candidates, reviewing written skills assessments, conducting introductory interviews and live skills assessments, maintaining accurate talent acquisition records, and providing the Human Resources Department with clear, timely information. The successful candidate will combine sound judgment, strong communication, careful organization, and a commitment to a professional and inclusive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Screening and Assessment
- Review applications and make initial decisions regard applicants’ candidacy against defined role-specific requirements
- Collaborate with team members (e.g., leadership; attorneys) to review written skills assessments
- Conduct introductory interviews and conduct live skills assessments
- Evaluate candidate experience, communication, and demonstrated skills consistently and objectively
- Prepare clear, evidence-based candidate summaries and recommendations in support of hiring decisions
Candidate and Stakeholder Coordination
- Support the full candidate lifecycle from application through final decision, coordinating next steps and maintaining strong momentum throughout the process
- Maintain professional, responsive, and consistent communication with candidates
- Coordinate interviews and assessments with hiring managers and other internal stakeholders, as appropriate
- Understand organizational and hiring manager needs, flag risks and delays, and provide clear updates during talent acquisition check-ins
Talent Acquisition Operations and Process Improvement
- Maintain complete and accurate candidate records, status updates, and documentation in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Draft, publish, and optimize job postings
- Prepare weekly talent acquisition pipeline updates and check-in materials
- Follow Talent Acquisition SOPs and support consistent, compliant talent acquisition practices
- Identify practical opportunities to improve candidate experience, process efficiency, and procedural documentation
- Assist with events, scheduling, and logistics
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition
- Experience reviewing applications, shortlisting candidates, and conducting structured interviews or skills assessments
- Experience using an ATS and managing candidate records accurately throughout the talent acquisition process
- Fluency across the Microsoft suite, especially Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, evidence-based candidate summaries and meeting notes
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to host successful on-camera interviews
- Sound judgment, especially regarding the evaluation of candidates
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, including the ability to manage multiple searches, deadlines, and priorities
- High attention to detail, discretion, and respect for confidential candidate and employee information
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in finding and acquiring talent for professional services, legal, privacy, cybersecurity, technology, or other knowledge-based roles
- Experience conducting or coordinating live skills assessments and applying structured evaluation criteria
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiting tools, job-board optimization, or talent acquisition pipeline reporting
- Experience working in a remote or globally distributed team across multiple time zones
- Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools such as Teamwork
- Experience coordinating events, interviews, travel, or related logistics
