We’re Hiring: Talent Advisor – Temp Staffing | Cape Town
Company: Phyton, a LevelUP HCS Company
Employment Type: Permanent
About the Opportunity
Phyton, a LevelUP HCS company, is looking for ambitious, resourceful recruiters to support our New York team. We’re looking for candidates with hands-on recruiting experience who are ready to grow.
This role will support temporary, contract, and temp-to-permanent recruitment across Finance & Accounting, Compliance, Technology, and Financial Services Operations. Specific coverage will depend on the recruiter’s strengths, experience, and team needs. Prior experience in these areas is helpful.
The right people will be driven, competitive, and motivated by unlimited earning potential. They’ll take initiative, bring persistence to challenging searches, and proactively uncover candidates rather than wait for applications.
Recruiters will drive the candidate process from initial outreach through placement. They’ll work on Technology searches while they receive training and coaching to guide candidates through each stage, handle concerns, manage offers, and develop the confidence and skills to close deals independently.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sourcing and Engagement
- Partner with our New York team to understand open roles and what makes a candidate a strong fit.
- Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, Boolean searches, job boards, referrals, and creative research.
- Engage candidates through phone calls and written outreach, build interest, and follow up consistently.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future searches.
Candidate Management
- Screen candidates to understand their experience, career goals, compensation expectations, availability, and fit.
- Own the candidate process from start to finish, keeping candidates engaged and moving opportunities forward.
- Prepare candidates for interviews, gather feedback, and address questions or concerns throughout the process.
Offers and Closing
- Manage offer discussions, navigate counteroffers, and close placements independently as your skills develop.
Administration and Ownership
- Keep candidate records organized and communicate progress, feedback, and challenges to the team.
- Take ownership of your searches and adjust your approach when you’re not getting results.
Experience Required
We’re looking for hands-on experience finding and engaging talent, including:
- Using LinkedIn to identify and approach relevant candidates.
- Building Boolean searches and refining them based on results.
- Uncovering passive candidates beyond inbound applications.
- Conducting candidate screens and maintaining consistent follow-up.
- Guiding candidates through interviews, feedback, and offer discussions.
- Managing multiple searches and keeping candidate pipelines organized.
Experience in temporary/contract or permanent recruitment within any of our core disciplines is a plus. You’ll receive coaching to strengthen your ability to own the full candidate process and close placements independently.
What We Offer
- Training and ongoing coaching across sourcing, candidate management, and closing.
- Close collaboration with our New York team.
- Exposure to the US recruiting market and opportunities for growth.
- Uncapped compensation potential tied to performance.
- An environment where initiative, effort, and results are recognized.
Location & Working Hours
- This is a hybrid opportunity (2-3 days in office)
- These opportunities typically align with the US-EST time zone (2:00pm – 11:00am SAST).
