We're looking for a Talent Lead to own hiring across Everlab as we scale. You'll work closely with our founders and leaders, combining hands-on recruiting with building the systems and standards that help us hire exceptional people consistently. This is a high-ownership role. You'll shape how we hire, where we focus and what great looks like, while personally leading our most important searches. We're looking for someone with 5+ years in talent acquisition, ideally in-house at a fast-growing startup or scale-up, with a strong track record of sourcing and closing exceptional candidates. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney. Our team works from the office three days per week. Responsibilities and Scope Search and sourcing: Lead our highest-priority searches end to end, from defining the brief and search strategy through to sourcing, assessment, offer and close. Proactively find and engage great people, including those who aren't actively looking. Build strong talent pipelines across the areas we expect to keep growing. Own external recruiting partners where specialist support makes sense. Hiring strategy and standards: Own Everlab's approach to hiring as we scale in Australia and internationally. Partner with founders and hiring managers to define what exceptional looks like and build the right process to find it. Raise the hiring bar through better interviewing, assessment, training and decision-making. Process and infrastructure: Build a consistently excellent candidate experience from first interaction through to joining Everlab. Build the hiring processes and infrastructure we need as Everlab grows. Use data to understand our hiring funnel and continuously improve how we hire. What we're looking for: Experience: 5+ years in talent acquisition or recruiting, ideally in-house at a fast-growing startup or scale-up. Breadth: Experience hiring across different functions and levels, with the ability to quickly get across unfamiliar areas. Sourcing: A strong track record of proactively sourcing and closing exceptional candidates. Judgement: Excellent judgement on people and a thoughtful approach to assessment. Presence: The confidence to work directly with founders and senior leaders, and to challenge thinking when needed. Candidate experience: A genuine focus on candidate experience and the details that make a hiring process great. Range: The ability to think strategically while remaining deeply hands-on. Ownership: Strong prioritisation, curiosity and ownership. You see gaps, make decisions and get things moving. Nice to have: Experience building or evolving an in-house talent function.
