Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Tax Accountant (Australian Tax Standard) at EH Tax. The Tax Accountant will prepare and review Australian individual, business, trust, and company tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. The role includes managing tax planning engagements, reviewing financial statements. Day-to-day tasks involve liaising with senior team, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax laws, and supporting accounting and bookkeeping processes where required. The Tax Accountant will collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality, timely services and contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and client experience.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation under Australian tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and preparation/review of Financial Statements for individuals, businesses, trusts, and companies.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA or equivalent certification (completed or in progress) is highly regarded.
  • Experience using Australian tax and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Quickbook and Lodgeit) and strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply tax law, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in accessible language.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver client-focused service.
