Tax Preparer (US Tax)

Working Hours: US Eastern Standard Time (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)

About The Role

We are a premier US financial advisory firm managing $1.5B in assets under management (AUM). We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our growing tax division.

In this role, you will play a critical part in executing high-volume tax return preparation, allowing our domestic team to scale operations and expand financial advisory services. You will work fully integrated as a core member of our team using internal systems and standard company email domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation: Accurately prepare a variety of US tax returns, including:
• 1040s (Individual Income Tax)
• 1041s (Estates and Trusts)
• Business Tax Returns (Partnerships, S-Corps/C-Corps)
• System Integration: Execute tax workflow tasks within company software systems and adhere strictly to internal standard operating procedures.
• Communication: Handle client correspondence via email (non-voice/email-only) professionally and efficiently when clarifications or documents are needed.
• Compliance & Security: Operate securely within a virtual browser environment, following strict data privacy protocols and logging daily activities/timesheets accurately.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience:
• Proven background in US tax return preparation (prior experience handling high-volume workloads of 500+ returns is a strong plus).
• Recognized accounting credentials or equivalent experience (e.g., CPA/CA qualifications aligned with US tax standards).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong familiarity with US tax structures (1040, 1041, and business returns).
• Proficiency with US tax software, secure virtual browser tools, and remote workplace tech.
• Soft Skills:
• Schedule Alignment: Ability to reliably work full US Eastern Standard Time (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST).
• Communication: Excellent written English for clear, professional email communication.
• Security Mindset: High integrity and strict adherence to data security guidelines.
