Tax Preparer – Offshore, Remote

Salary: $1,800–$2,200 USD/month

A well-established Tax & CPA firm based in Arizona is looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team remotely. This is a full-time, back-office production role supporting our lead CPA with tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and administrative work throughout the year.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Mountain Time (must be able to work this shift regardless of location)

About the Role

You'll be responsible for taking tax returns from start to finish — primarily partnerships, S-corps, and individuals — with review and filing handled by our lead CPA. This is a production-focused position ideal for someone with strong technical fundamentals who works well independently and doesn't need heavy oversight to get the job done accurately.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns start to finish-
• A roughly 50/50 mix of business returns (mostly partnerships and S-corps) and individual returns — our three primary return types
• A small volume of trust and C-corp returns
• Some complex individual returns, including multi-K1 filings
• Handle data entry and return preparation under senior CPA review and filing oversight
• Provide bookkeeping support in QuickBooks during the off-season
• Support office administration during the off-season, including client file cleanup and CRM updates
• Assist with financial statement preparation
• Work in a back-office capacity — this is a non-client-facing role
• Using Quickbooks and ProConnect

What You'll Need

• Minimum 2+ years of professional US tax preparation experience (required)
• Demonstrated experience preparing partnership, S-corp, and individual tax returns
• Ability to prepare a return start to finish with minimal hand-holding
• Strong bookkeeping skills and QuickBooks proficiency
• Comfort working with any major professional tax software
• Strong technical fundamentals — you'll be producing returns for CPA review, not handling final review or filing
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work US Mountain Time business hours
