Remote Tax Preparer – 1099 Independent Contractor Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist individual clients with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns during the upcoming tax season. This is a remote, commission-based independent contractor opportunity. Tax Preparers are responsible for working with their own clients and are compensated based on completed and funded tax returns. Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required. Training and ongoing tax season support are available to individuals selected to join the team. Position Responsibilities As a Remote Tax Preparer, you will: Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns Review client tax documents for accuracy and completeness Enter tax information using professional tax preparation software Communicate with clients regarding required documents and return information Follow applicable tax laws, due diligence requirements, and company procedures Protect confidential client information Maintain accurate client records Provide professional customer service throughout the tax preparation process Maintain and service your own client base Qualifications We are looking for individuals who are: Reliable and professional Comfortable working independently in a remote environment Detail oriented Able to communicate professionally with clients Comfortable using a computer and learning new software Able to complete required tax training Able to follow tax preparation and compliance procedures Previous experience in tax preparation, customer service, banking, finance, accounting, or administrative support may be helpful but is not required. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor, commission-based position . There is no hourly wage or guaranteed salary. Compensation varies based on the number of completed returns, tax preparation fees collected, and individual production. Tax Preparers are responsible for developing and maintaining their own client base.
