Job Description: SUMMARY: The Tax Processing Assistant (TPA) II is responsible for supporting the tax compliance process by preparing, filing, and processing electronic tax returns and payments. This role ensures timely and accurate handling of tax documents, correspondence with clients and jurisdictions, and maintenance of essential records and reports. The TPA operates as an individual contributor, receiving mentoring and training from senior team members, and plays a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting new client onboarding. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Complete 500-750+ electronic return filings and payments per month, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. · Respond to jurisdictional notices, take corrective action as necessary, and log all notices in Oracle Service Cloud. · Correspond directly with clients and/or taxing jurisdictions to answer questions and resolve issues. · Create and maintain reports from various sources for both internal and external use. · Process incoming mail, including logging and tracking jurisdictional notices. · Prepare returns and check payments for mailing by established deadlines. · Support the new client setup process, ensuring all documentation and filings are completed. · Maintain and update pertinent business information and records. · Participate in other projects or duties as assigned to support the tax team. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. This is an individual contributor role. Receives mentoring and training from senior team members. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Basic understanding of tax forms and filing requirements. · Experience with Microsoft tools, with proficiency in Excel. · Ability to create, edit, and maintain spreadsheets and reports. · Strong organizational and communication skills. · Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and analytical skills. · Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. · Capable of handling confidential/sensitive information discreetly. · Able to work as part of a diverse team and interact effectively with clients, taxing jurisdictions, and internal staff. · Ability to follow standard practices and procedures, and detailed instructions. · Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems. · Results-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage time and priorities effectively. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School diploma required. 2-4 years of relevant experience in tax processing, administrative support, or a related field. No certifications are required. On-the-job training and mentoring provided by senior team members. Pay Transparency Statement: US Base Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $61,100.00 Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.
