Spring '27 Intern - Tax & Advisory What you will be doing: As an LSL Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside all professional levels that will provide you with a real-world understanding of public accounting. You will have the opportunity to learn the LSL firm culture and values and at the same time gain valuable knowledge and experience at a top regional accounting firm in Orange County. Our Tax Interns will assist the Tax Department during the busy season. Internship Details: Internship Season: January 4, 2027 - April 16, 2027 Flexible work schedule based on your class schedule, with a minimum of 20 hours per week; you can work in blocks of at least 4 hours, and if your school schedule allows, you can even work up to 40 hours per week. All week days are available for work with the exception of Friday. This is a part-time, temporary internship position paying $25.00 per hour . This position is not eligible for employee benefits. Mentor guidance Networking Professional training, you will gain experience with LSL’s tax process which help you build your resume with relevant work experience Similar responsibilities as our first year, full-time staff What you will be doing: Prepare Individual, basic Business, and Partnership tax returns on behalf of clients Research changes in tax regulation and develop tax planning skills Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to support client engagements Work with the tax team (staff, senior, manager and partner) on client projects Develop an understanding of and capability with accounting software, CCH, Practice CS, Engagement Develop administrative, professional and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze and communicate with others in a productive and efficient manner Requirements to be Successful: Must be currently enrolled in school and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; junior or senior standing preferred. Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and interpret rules, procedures, and routine correspondence in English Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments Proficient with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles Completion of tax class Demonstrated leadership skills Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
