Tax Technology Consultant (Permanent, full-time), Ireland
We are looking for someone who has stood in both rooms: the one where tax positions get decided and the one where the software that supports them gets built and tested. If that is you, and you want to be the first permanent hire building something from the ground floor, keep reading.
About TIF Synergy
TIF Synergy is a tax technology practice celebrating ten years in the Netherlands and now expanding into Ireland, where TIF Synergy Ireland Limited is established in Dublin. We are launching a suite of tools for group tax functions: research, account mapping, documentation and workflow tracking, none of it carrying a licence cost. We are gearing up for our public launch and our first partner pilot, and we need hands-on delivery capacity to get there.
Our founder has 15+ years in tax and technology, including Big Four experience, and has trained in-house and Big Four tax teams around the world in tax reporting and in combining it with tax technology.
What you'll do
• Help harden the tools ahead of launch: structured testing, edge-case checks and validating the tax logic against real scenarios.
• Produce and quality-check sample outputs and demo material for launch and for our first partner pilot.
• Support the first pilot delivery directly: onboarding, configuration and issue triage, working alongside the founder and the partner team.
• Feed practical tax-content and usability feedback back into product decisions.
This is a bridge role. You are not a pure developer and you are not a pure tax adviser. The value is in being credible on both sides at once.
What we're looking for
• Solid grounding in direct tax and/or tax reporting and compliance (corporate income tax, tax accounting and provisioning). Exposure to Pillar Two is a strong plus.
• Genuinely comfortable with tax technology: you have configured or delivered tax tooling, you work fluently with data and you are not afraid of a bit of scripting or SQL.
• A self-starter who can work independently against agreed priorities with light supervision. This is a founder-stage, low-overhead setup.
• Clear written communication, including material that goes in front of a client during a pilot.
Nice to have, not required
• Exposure to any of OneStream, OneSource, LongView, Alteryx, Power BI, Python or Azure.
• Time in a Big 4 or in-house tax technology or transformation function.
• Comfortable with an ambiguous, fast-moving, founder-stage brief.
What this role is not
To save everyone's time: this is not a full-stack software engineering role (that is a separate role, not open this phase), and it is not a generalist tax advisory role without a technology component.
Engagement shape
• Type: permanent employment, full-time, salaried.
• Start: flexible, by agreement. The near-term focus is launch (September 2026) and the first pilot; the role itself is permanent, not scoped to that window.
• Location: Ireland-based, open to remote. This is a remote/hybrid-working role.
• Salary: discussed on application.
How to apply
Apply via LinkedIn Easy Apply. Please include a short note on your tax background, any hands-on tax technology work you have delivered, and your earliest possible start date.
We assess every applicant on merit against the profile above, regardless of age, background or where you studied. What matters is the tax and technology bridge you can demonstrate.
