TDM Architect

Job Overview

The organisation is seeking a Senior TDM Architect to design and deliver enterprise-grade test data management (TDM) solutions. The person in this role will lead strategy and architecture for end-to-end TDM capabilities, enabling secure, compliant, and scalable test data provisioning across cloud, DevOps, and test automation environments. They will work with stakeholders across development, testing, operations and security to ensure efficient data integration, masking and provisioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver enterprise TDM architecture and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security policies and compliance obligations.
• Lead assessments of current test data practices, identify gaps and propose solutions to improve data provisioning, sub-setting and masking.
• Design and implement data masking, data sub-setting and production data replication strategies to protect PII and sensitive information.
• Integrate TDM solutions with test automation, service virtualization and CI/CD pipelines to enable self-service provisioning and accelerate delivery.
• Architect and implement API-based data generation and integration patterns for synthetic and anonymised data workflows.
• Lead hands-on deployment, configuration and development activities for industry-standard TDM tools across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, security, platform) to ensure secure, repeatable and auditable data provisioning processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and governance for TDM best practices and operational runbooks.
• Evaluate new tools and approaches (cloud-native, service virtualization, automated provisioning) and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of IT experience working with large, complex application landscapes.
• At least 8 years of experience designing, installing, configuring and deploying TDM services in enterprise environments.
• Proven hands-on expertise with industry TDM tools such as Broadcom TDM, Delphix, IBM Optim or GenRocket.
• Strong SQL skills, including advanced query development and experience with XML/JSON parsing and data analysis.
• Practical experience integrating TDM with test automation, service virtualization and API-based data generation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating TDM capabilities into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of data flows, business processes, PII masking techniques and data security controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, make informed technical decisions and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Desirable: project management experience, familiarity with self-service test data frameworks, continuous testing environments and advanced service virtualization or automated data provisioning techniques.
