KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is for staff (non-students) assisting with general teaching responsibilities.
- Assists faculty with teaching or teaching-related duties.
- May grade or assist with grading exams, projects, or papers; may proctor exams.
- Maintains all supplies needed for classes.
- Meets with students to discuss issues related to the class, as specified by the instructor.
- Maintains records for classes, such as grades, student concerns, and attendance.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree.

- Grading homework, quizzes, and exams based on a set answer key.
- Teaching smaller breakout sessions that supplement main lectures, or overseeing hands-on science experiments.
- Holding weekly office hours to answer student questions and explain difficult concepts.
- Setting up equipment for labs, uploading readings to online portals (like Canvas or Blackboard) and taking attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree and successful completion of the course.
- If you are applying for a TA position, you must typically have taken the course (or an equivalent) and earned a grade of B+ or better. (How are you managing this? Are you requiring them to submit transcripts?)
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
