SUMMARY
The Team Lead, Professional Services Internship Program is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, development, and operational oversight of a growing team of interns supporting Finalsite’s Professional Services organization.
This role manages intern workloads, project assignments, training, quality, and performance, with a strong focus on work completed within Finalsite’s Composer CMS. The Team Lead will partner with teams across Professional Services to identify appropriate work for the internship team and establish scalable processes that allow interns to support a broader range of services as the program grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Intern Leadership & Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance management for the Professional Services internship team.
- Manage intern workloads, schedules, priorities, and project assignments to ensure work is appropriately distributed and completed on time.
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training, including the development of interns' skills and proficiency within Finalsite Composer.
- Establish clear expectations and provide regular feedback on quality, productivity, professionalism, and development.
- Identify individual strengths and development opportunities and help prepare high-performing interns for potential future opportunities within Finalsite.
- Foster a collaborative environment that provides interns with meaningful professional experience while delivering value to the business.
Project & Quality Oversight
- Oversee work completed by interns within Finalsite Composer, ensuring accuracy, quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Coordinate and prioritize incoming work from teams across Professional Services.
- Match projects and assignments with appropriate intern skills, experience, capacity, and development goals.
- Monitor project progress, address blockers, and ensure deadlines and service expectations are met.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for work completed by the internship team.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for questions or issues related to intern assignments and deliverables.
Program Growth & Professional Services Collaboration
- Partner with Professional Services leaders and teams to identify new opportunities for the internship program to support service delivery.
- Develop scalable workflows and processes for requesting, assigning, tracking, reviewing, and completing work through the internship team.
- Expand the program beyond its existing support of Virtual Webmaster and Content Migration to serve additional Professional Services teams and service offerings.
- Identify opportunities to responsibly leverage AI and automation to improve internship workflows, increase efficiency, and scale service delivery across Professional Services.
- Monitor team capacity and program demand to identify future staffing, training, and resource needs.
- Track program performance and communicate outcomes, capacity, opportunities, and challenges to Professional Services leadership.
- Partner with HR and internal stakeholders as needed to support intern recruitment, onboarding, and program administration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 3–5 years of professional experience in web services, project management, team leadership, training, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of Finalsite Composer or similar content management systems (CMS), with experience completing or overseeing website content work within these platforms.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, training, or developing others.
- Strong project and workload management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to establish and maintain quality standards.
- Comfortable adopting emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to improve workflows, productivity, and service delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.
- Ability to balance employee development with business needs and operational priorities.
- Comfortable working with project management, ticketing, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack, and Zoom.
- Experience working within Professional Services, web services, education technology, or another client-focused service organization is preferred.
