Team Lead - Intra-fund Financial Advice

We are seeking a candidate to join our Mercer Financial Advice team at Mercer in the Team Leader – Intra fund Financial Advice role. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Team Leader Intra- fund Financial Advice About the role: Mercer Financial Advice is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in the office at least three days per week. You will lead the Intrafund Advice team with a strong focus on advice quality, member outcomes, service delivery and continuous improvement, while helping to strengthen our ongoing trustee relationship. About the team: Mercer Financial Advice provides intrafund advice via phone, along with triage and guidance support for Mercer Super members. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on supporting both members and colleagues. What you will do: Lead a team of financial advisers and triage staff to deliver client, service and performance outcomes Set clear goals and KPI measures, including call volumes, advice engagements, SOA turnaround times and scorecard outcomes Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability, support performance and encourage career progression Oversee day-to-day operations, resource allocation, reporting standards and workflow management Maintain high advice quality through call listening, peer review, oversight and compliance with advice standards Build effective relationships with trustees, stakeholders and client managers to support service delivery and business growth Proactively identify opportunities to improve member experience, advice processes and team efficiency Provide monthly reporting and data insights, including the use of Qlik and related tools What you need to bring: Demonstrated leadership experience in a financial advice environment Experience delivering advice, with intrafund experience preferred Strong coaching and mentoring capability Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational and time management skills Technical proficiency in financial advice and a sound understanding of advice operations Experience managing client, trustee, stakeholder or referral relationships A strong focus on service quality, continuous improvement and risk awareness What will help you stand out: Experience leading teams delivering intra-fund or superannuation advice Experience improving advice quality, service standards or team performance Exposure to advice platforms and CRM tools such as Midwinter and Salesforce Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, economics, financial planning, communications or marketing Completion of the education and registration requirements to maintain an AR and ASIC registration, including FASEA where applicable Why join Mercer: We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and make an impact for colleagues, clients and communities Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to support your wellbeing About Mercer: Mercer is a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries.
