Team Leader – Transfer Agency

Summary: This role is for the Transfer Agency Industry based in UK and includes functions like Dealing, Registrations, Settlements, Probates, Business Admin Team and Operational Finance Team. The incumbent needs to understand Operational Finance/Cash Management processes and laws of the regions supported and perform day to day work in accordance with procedures set. Should have strong knowledge of Journal entries, receipt management, payments, DVP and CASS rules. The role needs to work in rotational shift and there would be shifts starting at 12:30 PM or later. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Acquire knowledge of Cash Management- Accounts Receivable & Payable processes Perform daily internal control checks Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met Ensure Quality targets are met Ensure all task procedures are followed by the team. On an ongoing basis, ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams across geographical locations. Support the continued creation of the efficient operating model, ensuring India hub is established with appropriate controls Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service Provide a contact point and/or assistance with queries from Clients, Depositories etc and key contacts. Identify instances of non-compliance and refer to the Managers, and the Compliance Department, and resolve them. Maintain staff training and competence standards with regular 1-1 and team meeting. Maintain an awareness and understanding of the investment industry. Develop in-depth understanding of the process and department. Assisting in responding to regular reviews/audits and Compliance Visits. Emerging risks are identified, assessed, and captured within the departmental risk register and, where appropriate, subject to escalation to senior management. Operational controls are carried out in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures. Actions for improvements are dealt in accordance with agreed timescales. Provide periodic reports to Manager on team performance Education: A Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business Or Finance Or Banking related discipline from a reputed College/University. A Management degree would be an added advantage Should have successfully cleared Investment Operations Certificate Level 1 Experience: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. More than 5 years’ experience in Fund Industry and atleast 3 years in current team/organisation Work timings : EMEA business hours
