Salary £47,665 - £53,051 per annum | Permanent, Full Time | 37 hours per week | Adult Social Care

Are you an experienced and motivated social care professional looking for your next leadership opportunity?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Team Manager to join our Young Adults Team, supporting our work with young people as they transition from Children’s Services into Adult Social Care.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing service where you will play an important role in providing strong operational leadership, supporting high-quality social care practice and helping to ensure young people experience well-planned and effective transitions into adulthood.

As Team Manager, you will provide leadership and support to a team of practitioners, promoting a positive and supportive working environment whilst maintaining a clear focus on professional standards, timely practice and positive outcomes for young people and their families.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Provide confident, supportive and visible leadership to staff.
  • Promote high-quality, strengths-based and person-centred practice.
  • Provide effective oversight of complex casework, safeguarding and risk.
  • Support staff through supervision, professional development and reflective practice.
  • Manage competing operational priorities and maintain oversight of team performance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, SEND, Health and other partner agencies.
  • Build effective relationships with young people, families and professionals.
  • Contribute positively to service development, improvement and transformation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.

You will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, sound professional judgement and an ability to support staff working within a busy and sometimes complex environment.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are passionate about improving the transition experience for young people and who understand the importance of effective multi-agency working, early planning and ensuring that young people remain at the centre of decision-making.

In return, you will have the opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking service, contribute to the continued development of our Young Adults pathway and make a genuine difference to the experiences and outcomes of young people moving into adulthood.

If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership career within Adult Social Care and would like to be part of a service committed to improving outcomes for young adults, we would be delighted to hear from you.
