Tech Lead (Hands-On) - Enterprise HCMS Rebuild | Remote, LATAM

I'm hiring a Tech Lead who still writes code.

We just signed a 12-month contract to take over and rebuild the HR platform of a large Indonesian enterprise. SAP and SSO integrations, an AI layer, formal acceptance gates where the client signs or the phase doesn't close.

The team is small on purpose: two strong full-stack devs, a PM on the ground in Indonesia, me. Missing: the person who owns how it gets built.

The job: half your week in code, the hardest parts yours (SAP, SSO, RBAC). Every PR reviewed within 24 hours. Module by module, you call what we replicate from the legacy system and what we redesign. When an acceptance gate arrives, the demo is boring because everything works.

Not the job: client management, people theater, meetings about meetings.

Not for you if you stopped coding three years ago, or if reviewing someone else's code feels like a demotion.

The stack, so you can self-select: Go backend (the client group's SDKs and MQ layer are Go, on GitLab), TypeScript where it earns its place, RabbitMQ between microservices, Postgres, hexagonal architecture as house style, multi-tenant from day one. Integrations are the hard core: SAP ECC at infotype level, SSO with SAML or OIDC against the client's IdP, plus Odoo, Coupa and POS connectors with retries and dead-letter queues. There is an AI layer on LLM APIs that reads through the platform's APIs and never touches the database directly, and you will keep it that way. Quality gates are contractual: SonarQube at 80 percent coverage, zero criticals, complexity capped, CI green or nothing ships.

You need: production Go, shipped enterprise integrations (SAP or comparable ERP), real SSO work, RBAC design, migrations on systems that could not go down, and enough LLM API pragmatism to respect a hard architectural boundary. Fluent written English. Brazil-compatible hours.
