To strengthen our presence in the BENELUX region and Northern France, we are looking for an autonomous and results-oriented Technical Sales Manager with a solid technical and commercial background.
Position Overview
The Technical Sales Expert will be responsible for developing TAIDEN’s business and market presence across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Northern France.
Combining sales development with technical expertise, the successful candidate will manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and understanding customer requirements to preparing solutions, conducting product demonstrations and supporting projects through to completion.
The role requires a high degree of autonomy as it is a remote (mainly)/hybrid position, regular travel throughout the
territory and the ability to build long-term relationships with AV integrators, distributors, consultants and end users.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and implement the regional sales strategy for the Benelux countries and Northern France.
- Identify new business opportunities, projects and potential partners within the professional audiovisual and conference markets.
- Prospect and engage with AV system integrators, distributors, rental companies, consultants and end users.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial contact and needs analysis to quotation, negotiation and order closing.
- Achieve agreed revenue, margin and market-development objectives.
- Monitor opportunities and maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer information in the CRM system.
Account and Partner Management
- Develop long-term relationships with existing customers and strategic partners.
- Identify and support new distribution and integration partners.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
- Help partners position TAIDEN solutions effectively in their projects and tenders.
- Coordinate commercial actions, product launches, demonstrations and joint customer visits with regional partners.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and act as the main point of contact for the assigned territory.
Technical Sales and Project Support
- Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable TAIDEN conference and interpretation solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in cooperation with the internal technical team.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and technical training sessions.
- Support system integrators and consultants during system design, product specification and tender preparation.
- Review project documentation, equipment lists and system configurations.
- Follow projects from the specification stage through installation, commissioning and final delivery.
- Coordinate with technical support, logistics and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide first-level technical guidance and escalate complex matters to the relevant technical specialists within TAIDEN and TAIDEN Europe teams.
Market Development
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing developments and upcoming projects.
- Identify key decision-makers, consultants and influencers within the territory.
- Increase awareness of the TAIDEN brand and product portfolio.
- Represent TAIDEN Europe at exhibitions, industry events, partner meetings and customer demonstrations.
- Provide regular market feedback to management and contribute to product-development discussions.
- Identify potential reference projects and develop customer success stories.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of successful experience in technical sales, business development or account management.
- Solid experience in professional audiovisual systems, conference systems, interpretation systems, audio technologies, system integration or a closely related technical field.
- Strong understanding of project-based and solution-based sales.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into relevant commercial solutions.
- Proven ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline independently.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Customer-oriented, proactive and results-driven approach.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable delivering technical presentations, demonstrations and training sessions.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Benelux region and Northern France.
- Fluent English and Dutch is required. Good communication skills in French.
