Technical Business Analyst

As our highly valued Technical Business Analyst based in Brisbane , your role will connect business needs with well-designed workflow and intelligent automation solutions, helping us deliver scalable, reusable technology capabilities across the Bank. You’ll make an impact by: Partnering with stakeholders to understand business processes, customer journeys and opportunities for workflow and intelligent automation Translating business needs into clear, technically actionable requirements for developers, engineers and architects Defining use cases and requirements that balance immediate business outcomes with long-term scalability and reuse Identifying opportunities to reuse, consolidate or extend existing solutions across UiPath, Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform Producing clear technical and functional documentation that supports delivery, ongoing use and platform understanding Working with architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, integration patterns and technology strategy Shaping backlog priorities, delivery sequencing and demand to support realistic and transparent planning Supporting initiatives from discovery through build, testing and release, resolving ambiguity and keeping business intent clear throughout delivery Do things differently with us This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of business, technology and intelligent automation, helping shape how Great Southern Bank builds workflow and automation capabilities for the future. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects and delivery teams to turn complex business needs into practical technology solutions. Rather than creating one-off solutions, you'll champion reuse and simplification, helping build capabilities that can deliver value across multiple teams and customer journeys. You'll also have a meaningful role in how work gets delivered, contributing to backlog prioritisation, planning and continuous improvement while ensuring requirements and technical documentation remain clear and trusted. To succeed in this role, you will have: 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or similar within complex technology environments Strong experience working with workflow, RPA, APIs, integrations or distributed systems in a business-facing analysis role Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technically precise requirements, use cases and documentation Experience partnering closely with developers, engineers and architects in Agile or hybrid delivery environments Strong understanding of business processes, customer journeys and systems analysis Exposure to workflow and automation technologies such as UiPath, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform Experience with backlog management, delivery planning, prioritisation or Scrum-style facilitation Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for different audiences A pragmatic approach to problem-solving with a focus on reuse, simplification and sustainable technology solutions A degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience Why Great Southern Bank?
