We are seeking a talented individual to join our JLT Public Sector team, part of our risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role you will provide technical claims advice, coordinate claim activity, and help clients navigate the claims process with confidence. You will work across a portfolio of complex, high-value liability claims, ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with client and insurer expectations.

We will count on you to:

• Manage and support complex, high-value insurance claims from notification through to settlement.

• Provide high-quality technical claims guidance to clients and internal teams.

• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other stakeholders to progress matters effectively.

• Interpret policy wording and assess claim coverage considerations.

• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.

• Identify claim trends and opportunities to improve outcomes for clients.

• Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused claims service culture.

What you need to have:

• Law degree.

• Experience in managing complex liability claims including public liability and professional indemnity matters.

• Knowledge of liability frameworks, including the Wrongs Act and relevant common law principles.

• Experience engaging with stakeholders, such as clients, legal counsels, and industry partners.

• Expertise in analysing claims data, recognising patterns, and producing insightful, actionable reports.

• A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
