Technical Furniture Engineer

We are expanding our team at woodandot (Legacy Group Sister company) and are currently looking for a highly skilled Technical Furniture Engineer to join our growing operations in Moassasat El Zakat.

This position offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home.

As our company continues to grow, this role will serve as the critical link between our design department and the manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be translating design concepts into precise, actionable manufacturing data to ensure high-quality production and optimal material efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive and accurate shop drawings for kitchens, built-in cabinetry, and loose furniture.

Generate precise cutting lists (cut-lists) and material takeoffs for the factory production line.

Utilize nesting and optimization software to efficiently allocate measurements across wooden panels, maximizing yield and minimizing material waste.

Specify and quantify all necessary hardware, fittings, and mechanisms required for product assembly.

Coordinate closely with the production team and workshop technicians to resolve technical issues and ensure the final product strictly adheres to the approved engineering drawings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Applied Arts, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proven experience in a technical office role within the furniture manufacturing, joinery, or interior fit-out industry.

High proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.

Practical experience with cut-list and material optimization software (e.g., CutMaster, Mozaik, Cabinet Vision).

In-depth knowledge of wood materials, contemporary joinery techniques, and industrial furniture manufacturing processes.

Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to effectively manage time, communicate clearly, and deliver precise technical work in a remote work environment.
