Powerships have a range of 30 MW to 470 MW and are delivered ready to operate in less than 60 days. We are looking for a Technical Inspection Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Operational Excellence at our Head Office located in Kağıthane, Istanbul.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the power generation, maritime, or shipbuilding industries.
- Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of diesel engines and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment automation, control, protection systems, and asset reliability.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset and openness to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Well-developed analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance strategies and maintenance best practices.
- Experience with ERP/CMMS platforms, preferably SAP PM.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above).
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

- Coordinate and support technical audits and inspections of mechanical systems and power generation equipment, ensuring effective follow-up and timely closure of audit findings.
- Evaluate equipment condition and assess the effectiveness of preventive maintenance practices, providing technical reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Review technical operating practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and document observations, findings, and corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance trends and identify potential reliability concerns through technical assessments and operational data analysis.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and equipment failure reviews, contributing to the implementation of preventive actions and engineering best practices.
- Support engineering improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and long-term asset performance.
- Collaborate closely with plant operations teams, OEMs, and third-party technical specialists to ensure the successful execution of technical audits and engineering improvement projects.
- Contribute to the continuous development of technical standards, maintenance practices, and operational excellence across the organization.
