The Role_ // As part of the Passenger Apps team, you'll lead the delivery and ongoing development of Masabi's native passenger applications, the white-label Justride/Passenger experience deployed across transit agencies worldwide, spanning iOS, Android and Web. This is a hands-on Technical Lead role with a balance of approximately 50% technical contribution and 50% people leadership, delivery management and team coordination. Alongside supporting a team of engineers, you'll remain actively involved in technical design, implementation, code reviews and delivery planning, focused on integrating Masabi's Justride SDK and public API platform capabilities. Location_ // This role is available in a remote model for candidates based in Poland Type of Role_ // This role is available as an up to 12 months Fixed Term Contract Responsibilities_ Technical Leadership & Delivery Own delivery across the Passenger iOS, Android and Web applications, clearing blockers and keeping releases predictable Remain actively involved in technical implementation, design discussions and code reviews, setting the bar for engineering quality Drive the integration of Masabi's Justride SDK and public APIs into Passenger applications Lead application migrations, release management, rollout planning and deployment activities Support engineering practices that enable effective delivery across the team People Leadership & Team Development Lead and support a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, performance feedback and clear development conversations Create an environment where engineers can grow, develop and do their best work Partner closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders to align priorities, delivery plans and team goals Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture Contribute to hiring, onboarding and team growth activities as needed Provide visibility on delivery progress, risks and dependencies to stakeholders About You_ Strong hands-on engineer at heart, current in at least one native platform (Swift/UIKit or Kotlin/Coroutines) and able to move confidently across both You’ve led technical delivery across engineering teams, owning quality through code review and design guidance rather than stepping back from the work You've managed and grown engineers directly, running 1:1s, coaching and honest feedback Comfortable in multi-tenant or white-label products, where one codebase serves many customers with different needs Experience delivering and evolving production applications, including migrations or modernisation efforts Knowledgeable and experienced in SDK and API integrations Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and able to demonstrate how you’ve incorporated them into engineering workflow A calm communicator who keeps stakeholders aligned and can hold the balance between coding and leading Nice to Have_ Familiarity with release management, rollout strategies and deployment processes Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and engineering quality practices Participation in hiring, onboarding or team growth initiatives Prior experience in Fintech or Transit domains Careers at Masabi are for people going places - driven by a mission to make transit fair and accessible for all. // We are a network of innovators from all walks of life, passionate about making a difference.
