Technical Lead - Platform Utrecht | €105k + 10% Bonus | Build Core Compute Platform for 99,99% mission critical workloads | Leading Supply chain company | 3 days WFH

Do you want to design and build self-service functionality on a Cloud-native hybrid cloud platform? Do you get energy from taking the technical leadership for the core Kubernetes platform that are responsible for international connectivity and and compute? n your tribe you will work alongside Platform/Network/Cloud/Security & Site reliability engineers (15 in total), 1 PO and a engineering manager. The platform supports 35 internal DevOps and DataOps teams.

Impact is one of the words to be highlighted here. As a Lead Kubernetes platform engineer you get the chance to set-up new Kubernetes nodes, both on premise, on the edge (Talos) and in Azure (AKS). You’ll design the platform to be redundant and mission critical (99.99% availability). Minutes of downtime, disrupt the global supply chain, and that means unhappy stakeholders.

Peak into some of the technologies you will get to utilize:

Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Python/GO, Datadog, Keycloak, Backstage, Talos, Ansible, Terraform, Functions, Linux

Responsibilities you will have:

• Technical Enablement – have a vision on Platform Engineering and influence people;
• Mentoring, hiring and set up best practices;
• PoC work, build solutions to implement.
• Design cloud infrastructure/architecture;
• Building Self-service functionality;
• Migrating existing workloads to your platform;

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of working experience as Software, DevOps, Platform Engineering
• 3+ years working with cloud, IaC and cloud engineering
• 1+ years working with K8s
• Technical Leadership: 1+ year
• Speaking Dutch (b2 minimum) & English

Benefits:

A base compensation op to €105k + 10% bonus + 25+% pension scheme, 3 days WFH per week.
