Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable. From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.
Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.
We are looking for a Senior IT/QA & Technical Lead to join our F&A IT Solutions team in Brussels, working in a hybrid setup with regular presence in our Brussels office required.
This is a dual role combining Quality Assurance and Testing with a technical and architectural back-up responsibility. You will work primarily with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos Analytics and Cognos Controller, supporting systems used for financial planning, consolidation and reporting.
The main focus of the role is to ensure the quality, accuracy and reliability of changes delivered across the Cognos environment, while also providing technical guidance and supporting the Architect & Technical Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the QA and testing approach for the Cognos environment, including UAT, regression testing and test automation, ensuring that financial data, reports and system changes are properly validated.
You will establish and improve testing standards and processes across the development team, take ownership of the technical quality of releases and act as a technical escalation point when required.
You will also maintain a strong understanding of the wider application architecture and data integrations, contribute to technical design decisions and provide back-up for the Architect & Technical Manager.
The role involves mentoring junior developers and working closely with the Business Sponsor, Program Manager, Support Manager and technical teams to ensure reliable delivery and stable 24/7 operation of the systems.
We are looking for a senior technical professional with strong hands-on experience in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Cognos Analytics, together with solid QA and testing experience. Experience with Cognos Controller and a background in financial systems, financial reporting, planning or consolidation are highly relevant.
You should have experience with UAT, regression testing, STLC and test automation, as well as an understanding of application architecture and data integration. Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or in a similar senior technical role would be a strong advantage.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are important, as you will work with both technical teams and business/finance stakeholders. You should be comfortable explaining complex technical topics in a clear, business-friendly way, mentoring less experienced colleagues and taking ownership of technical quality and releases.
Fluent English is required, together with the ability to work from our Brussels office as part of a hybrid working model.
What We Offer
- A pivotal role within a Centre of Excellence in the Eurofins network.
- High visibility and impact on the Group’s financial consolidation and reporting capabilities.
