🚀 Senior Java Technical Lead | Remote in Portugal

We are looking for a Senior Java Technical Lead to join a strategic project, taking a key role in the technical direction, solution design and delivery of complex initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Java expertise with technical leadership skills, the ability to design complex solutions and experience working with international and cross-functional teams.

🔧 What you’ll be responsible for:

• Providing technical leadership throughout the design and delivery of complex projects;
• Designing and supporting the implementation of Java-based solutions;
• Contributing to solution architecture and technical decision-making;
• Analysing complex technical requirements and translating them into effective solutions;
• Providing technical guidance to development and project teams;
• Supporting best practices, problem-solving and continuous improvement;
• Collaborating with international and cross-functional teams;
• Working within Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence;
• Ensuring alignment between technical solutions, project objectives and business requirements.

🎯 What we’re looking for:

• Senior-level professional with up to 15 years of relevant experience;
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field;
• Strong professional experience with Java;
• Proven experience in complex solution design and strategic projects;
• Experience providing technical leadership to development/project teams;
• Experience with Agile methodologies;
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is valued;
• Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector is a plus;
• Knowledge of GDPR;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Portuguese and/or Spanish are valued;
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work effectively with global and multicultural teams.

🌍 Remote, but Portugal-based

This is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates must be currently residing in Portugal.
