Job Description Summary The Technical Leader - Installed Base Licensing provides technical and project/task leadership for the completion of various technical licensing work scopes, specifically supporting GVH’s worldwide installed base of boiling water reactors. This role provides leadership for the complete and successful execution of licensing deliverables such as licensing topical reports, safety analysis reports, and nuclear fuel reload analyses submitted to applicable country-specific regulators or to GVH’s customers. The Technical Leader - Installed Base Licensing focuses on responsibilities primarily around mentorship, project scheduling, resource allocation, and new licensing product development (innovation) including coordination with customers. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities The Technical Leader - Installed Base Licensing will report to the GVH Licensing Manager – Installed Base, and will provide supervision, including schedule development and adherence, mentorship, and technical leadership for a team of Licensing Engineers for the following activities: Prepare, revise, coordinate development of, and implement licensing topical reports including consideration of limitations and conditions. This includes preparation of responses to customer and regulator questions. Prepare and review safety analysis reports and other documentation in support of customer license amendment requests. Prepare markups, with Engineering input, of Technical Specifications, Updated Final Safety Analysis Reports, Technical Requirements Manual, and Licensee Controlled Specifications in support of new fuel introductions and license amendment requests. Interface with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues. Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure alignment with the contracted project scope. Assist in identifying and developing potential new licensing products or initiatives. Ensure schedule adherence for all licensing deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality. Adhere to all applicable procedures and to project-specific work plans and instructions. Initiate condition reports to drive continuous improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 10 years of related nuclear licensing work experience, especially in regard to vendor support of operating nuclear power plants. Minimum of five years' experience working as a direct interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards. Minimum of five years' experience working with the BWROG and/or WOG. Desired Characteristics Ability to manage workload and assign priorities. Excellent written and oral communication skills—communicates messages clearly and concisely. Customer-centric focus. Technical knowledge in BWR nuclear plant licensing. Experience supervising or directing teams of Licensing Engineers involved in licensing activities for operating nuclear power plants. Expert-level knowledge of one or more nuclear-licensing focused areas, such as nuclear fuel, deterministic safety analyses, probabilistic safety assessments, power uprates, operating domain expansions, design of structures or equipment, and consideration of hazards. Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in communicating with regulatory and customer personnel. Externally focused—takes action to enhance the reputation of the company / represents the company well at all opportunities. Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including NRC required background check. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Relocation Assistance Provided: No #LI-Remote - This is a remote position Application Deadline: For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $213,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
