About PROCERTUS

PROCERTUS is an independent and accredited certification body for processes, services and products in the concrete and construction steel sectors.

PROCERTUS acts as the sector organisation for cement, aggregates, admixtures, lime, masonry mortar, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, reinforcing and prestressing steel, as well as various steel and aluminium construction products.

Our organisation safeguards quality and reliability within the construction industry and supports manufacturers, specifiers and contractors through independent expertise.

PROCERTUS develops technical specifications, including model specifications, regulations and technical guidelines, together with sector stakeholders. We also coordinate and supervise certification activities related to CE marking and the BENOR quality mark.

Our team of approximately 30 employees works throughout Belgium in a flexible environment that includes remote working opportunities.

Function

As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be a key reference point for technical quality within your area of expertise.

You will:

• analyse and assess technical developments in concrete and precast construction.
• support companies with technical and quality-related matters.
• monitor developments in standards, regulations and construction techniques.
• contribute to the development of technical guidelines and certification systems.
• represent PROCERTUS in technical working groups and sector consultation platforms.
• maintain close relationships with manufacturers, experts, engineering consultancies and other stakeholders.
• share your expertise and contribute to the continuous development of knowledge within the organisation.

This is far more than a document review role. You will be a technical partner helping to shape the quality and innovation of tomorrow's construction industry.

Profile

We are not looking for someone who ticks every box. We are primarily seeking a candidate with technical curiosity, maturity and a strong sense of responsibility.

You have :

• a master’s degree in engineering sciences or a PhD in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Materials Science or a related field.
• a strong interest in concrete, precast construction or construction materials.
• experience within the construction industry, a manufacturing environment, an engineering consultancy, contracting or another technical environment.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• the ability to explain technical information clearly to different audiences.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:

• BENOR certification ;
• CE marking;
• quality management ;
• Standards and technical specifications;
• precast concrete production ;
• standardisation or participation in sector working groups.
